Elgato Intros HomeKit Door Lock, Smoke Detector, More
Elgato is expanding its Eve HomeKit-compatible smart home product lineup with a new door lock, smoke detector, window sensor, and lawn watering controller. They also introduced the second generation Eve Thermo smart thermostat.
Elgato’s new Eve HomeKit-compatible door lock and smoke detector
Elgato partnered with lock maker Yale for its Eve Lock, and Hager for the Eve Smoke. Both respond to Siri commands and can be remotely monitored and controlled.
The new Eve Window Guard builds on the Eve Window Sensor to detect tampering, plus it sends alerts when your window is opened, closed, or tilted. The Eve Aqua controls watering your lawn, lets you set watering schedules, tracks your watering activity, and responds to Siri commands.
The new Eve Thermo is a radiator valve thermostat for the European market. It adds a temperature display with touch controls.
The Eve Thermo will be available on September 26th for €69.95. Availability and pricing for Elgato’s other new HomeKit devices hasn’t been announced yet.
