iOS 10 Bug Hits T-Mobile Customers on iPhone 6, SE

In the wake of this week’s public release of iOS 10, T-Mobile is informing customers using some iPhone models to hold off on upgrading to Apple’s latest mobile operating system. iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone SE users are reportedly having issues connecting to T-Mobile’s network following the iOS 10 update.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere took to Twitter Thursday afternoon to spread the message.

The issue affecting the aforementioned iPhone models causes the device to randomly lose connection to the T-Mobile network. For those who have already upgraded to iOS 10, the temporary solution is to completely reboot the iPhone, although this only works for a short time before the device loses connection again.

Neville Ray, T-Mobile’s CTO and EVP, reports that Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix which should arrive within the next 48 hours.

Apple rarely makes downgrading to a previous version of iOS easy, but if you’re an affected T-Mobile customer and would like to give it a shot, OS X Daily has instructions on how to downgrade from iOS 10 to iOS 9.3.5. Be sure to read the caveats about backups and protecting your data!
