A 138-page NeXT catalog is now available for perusal online

The Fall 1989 number of the NeXT catalog is forthwith available to everyone thank y'all to amateur reckoner historian Kevin Savetz who’s scanned too uploaded all 138 pages of it to Archive.org.

The Verge points us to tweets from Kevin saying he’s scanned “tens of thousands of pages of reckoner magazines, newsletters too catalogs” over the years. He equally good co-hosts the “ANTIC: The Atari 8-Bit” podcast too has interviewed hundreds of people who were involved inward NeXT.

He told the publication well-nigh the project:

The NeXT catalog was business office of a large lot of one-time computers that I bought from a local reckoner refurb/recycling organization. I had never seen a catalog similar it too couldn’t notice much reference to it online, too therefore it was an slowly choice to scan it.

The catalog is forthwith existence auctioned off, amongst the proceeds going to RAICES.

Though a commercial failure, NeXT’s software too object-oriented programming model would serve equally the footing for the OS X operating scheme amongst its Aqua user interface.
